This is the greatest video of all time. Never before has there ever been this good of a video, and never will there be one, for the rest of time. Oh hail, hail the carp fishery beside the freeway. Ah-men.

  4. One of the finest fly fishing sequences I have ever seen.

  5. Beautiful video. Great casting and fly placement. Great respect for a fine gamefish. Love the reel “rooster tails”. Our sport at its best!

  6. I can’t stop watching this video.

I also think they are kinda cute in a very dopey way lol

yes they are edible. they have a line down their sides that is chemically different than the rest of the meat. it must be carefully removed dont want to cut it. dad always uses white vinegar to soak them. they were brought to the U.S. for food and many peoples consider them a delicacy. they are very clean fish really. and even smarter than a trout (this is a fact. carp are one of the smartest fresh water fish) they are my favorite on a fly rod. these fish have a special place in my life.

@The12345bamlover I have had people tell me they can be eaten. I am from an area with a lake that has a lot of carp in it and walleye and trout. Russians there and others catch them all the time, have NOT had anyone prove to me that they are eatable yet. Something about cutting a mud line out and a brine

@nockuout1 Basically. The carp with be slurping up stuff on the surface. The fisherman will use a dry, so it’ll stay on top and he can see it. The caster has to be good enough to be able to place that fly in front of the fish so it’ll be slurped. This guy’s casting (a lot of line out), placement and fighting are superb.

  13. Great Video
