  1. The double uni knot ends up a small, tight knot, where the tags can be cut very close to the knot. This makes it ideal for passing smoothly thru the rod guides, and spools off the reel nicely. Other knots are not as “neat” for tieing lines together.

lol the fuck is crazy glue?

  3. I still can’t do these to save my life.

  4. Thank’s I thought I knew all of these but was doing the clinch knot wrong!..also the krazy glue is an awesome idea! thank’s again

  5. The double uni is for tying braid to mono. Usually done yo start spooking onto your reel since mono cam be stretched and pulled tighter when starting the spool. It grabs onto the spool better and wont just slide.

  6. The best presentation I’ve seen so far. Thanks. Very helpful.

The Palomar Knot is really strong that last loop around the object gives it so much strength I love it. I use it on alarge drop loop I tie 3 of them using the drop loop to make the end of a palomar knot to put extra hooks on one fishing line. and at the very end of the string I use a snell Knot.

  14. i use the palomar knot to tie my hooks

  15. i use this 4 hooks it works awesome!

  16. Thank you so much, now i wont look stupid when i go fishing with my friends

  18. thanks! keep going :) i tried a few times and it worked. Thanks for sharing

  19. With the fish-killer knot (slip knot) if you don’t cinch it up tight against the eye of the hook, leaving it just a little loose, it will allow your fly (dry or nymph) to move more freely and natural.

  20. i only go fishing a few times over the year and i always forget how to tie a hook on you make it so much easier for me thanks, my dad no longer has to tie my line haha

  21. Veroka Salt?

Thank you sir. I lost a fat rainbow at my favorite fishing hole. I’m sure it’s because of the weak know I had tied. I was sooo mad at myself. I’ll be practicing this knot from now on!

Great knots. When I was young, I used to lose so many lures because it took me so long to tie a knot I would not want to retie it until I would loose the lure.

@EVHfilms Yes both knots have a big influence on how many and also how big the fish you catch, especially if you tie poor knots now.

  28. does the knot actually have an influence in how many fish you catch?

  29. hookthreader1 May 16, 2011 at 10:08 am

@jumar1281 I’m sure with a little practice you will master it. Good luck with the salmon.

  30. thanks… you definately make it look easy, i’m gonna go practice now cause i’m heading out salmon fishing tonight on lake michigan here in beautiful chicago

  35. hookthreader1 May 16, 2011 at 1:48 pm

@mca1houn Thanks Mate, It is definitely one of my all time favourites. That knot holds up when using light tackle and lifting fish that you think will break the line.

  36. I’m American, so I don’t throw this term around a lot, but that second knot was brilliant!

  37. this helped alot, thanks

  38. NorwegianPropaganda May 16, 2011 at 3:31 pm
